How to get to the start:
If you are bringing a runner to the start, be sure to arrive at least an hour early due to major traffic congestion in the starting area. Taking a bus to the start from Sacramento is highly recommended.
1. From Sheraton Grand Hotel (Business 80) take I-5 north to lnterstate 80, east to Douglas Boulevard exit in Roseville. Go East approximately 7 miles, to Auburn-Folsom Road. Turn South (right) to Folsom Dam and drop off point.
2. From Highway 50 (coming from downtown) take Folsom Blvd North to Auburn-Folsom Road to drop off point at Oak Ave.
3. From Fair Oaks, Carmichael, Citrus Heights, take Madison to Greenback to Auburn-Folsom Road as per 2. Can take Oak Avenue East from Sunrise Boulevard if arriving more than 30 minutes before start.
4. From Placerville, take Highway 50 to Folsom Boulevard. Take Folsom Boulevard North to Folsom-Auburn Rd to Oak Ave, drop off point.

The Start
If you are bringing a runner for drop off, be sure to an hour early due to increasing traffic congestion in the starting area. There is no parking at the start so drive to the next spectator area (Mile 10) to view your runner.
- From North Sacramento areas: take I-80 to the Douglas Blvd. exit in Roseville. go east approximately 7 miles, to Auburn-Folsom Rd. Turn south (right) and continue to runner drop off area.
- From Hwy. 50 (coming from downtown Sacramento): go east on Hwy. 50 to Folsom Blvd. exit. Stay on Folsom Blvd. until it becomes Auburn-Folsom Road and proceed to drop-off area.
- From Fair Oaks, Carmichael, and Citrus Heights: take Madison to Greenback to Auburn-Folsom Road turn left (north) and proceed to drop off area.
- From Placerville: take Highway 50 West to Folsom Blvd. Take Folsom Blvd. to Auburn-Folsom Rd. and proceed to drop-off area.
- From Roseville & other areas North East on I-80: take the Douglas Blvd. exit east to Auburn-Folsom Rd. Turn right and continue to runner drop-off area.
Old Fair Oaks, Mile 10
Great music, cheering crowds, and street party.
- Try to stay NORTH of race route for easier maneuverability.
- If coming from SOUTH of start line on Auburn-Folsom Rd. go south to Greenback Lane; turn right onto Greenback. Bear left to Madison Ave. Turn left (south) on Sunrise Blvd. Go to Winding Way and turn left into Old Fair Oaks. You must do this quickly (within 25 minutes) due to intersection closures subsequently occurring throughout the rest of the course.
- If you are coming from north of start line on Auburn-Folsom Rd., take Auburn-Folsom Rd. north to Douglas Blvd. Turn west (left) on Douglas Blvd. and go to Sunrise Blvd. Turn south (left) on Sunrise and proceed to Winding Way. Turn left onto Winding Way, park, and then walk to center of town.

Half Marathon Mark
Fair Oaks Blvd. at Manzanita Ave.; U.S. Bank Marathon Relay Exchange #2. A special place to cheer the runners because they are half way to accomplishing their goal. Lots of parking, lots of people!
- Coming from Old Fair Oaks, exit Winding Way. Turn right (north) onto Sunrise Blvd. Turn left (west) onto Madison. Turn left (south) onto Manzanita Ave., go down to Fair Oaks Blvd. and park near the Denny's Restaurant or supermarket parking lot.

Mile 20, Loehman's Plaza
at the Corner of Munroe and Fair Oaks Blvd. U.S. Bank Marathon Relay exchange #3 happens here. Have bagels at Noah's and coffee at Java City and cheer on the marathoners as they reach (and run through) "The WALL." (built courtesy of Windermere-Dunnigan Realtors).
- Coming from the half-marathon point, go north to Winding Way. Turn left on Winding Way and follow to Walnut Ave. Turn left on Walnut and go down to either Marconi Ave. Turn right on Marconi Ave. and continue to Fulton Ave. Turn left on Fulton Ave. Loehmann's Plaza is located immediately before you reach Fair Oaks Blvd. Park in Plaza on north side of Fair Oaks Blvd.

The Finish-Mile 26.2!
- Coming from Loehmann's Plaza, go north on Fulton Ave. to Arden Way; turn left on Arden. Take Arden Way to Hwy.160 downtown Sacramento and the "letter" streets (Highway 160 becomes 12th Street). Get as close to "L" St. as you can and park. Walk to the finish at 9th and Capitol.
