Event finish(es) of which you are most proud and why: Tough victory at the Quad Dipsea; 2:37 at Boston Marathon in tough conditions; I've finished 10 Western States 100-mile races; setting the record on the John Muir Trail in 2004.
Other pacing experiences: In 2007-2012 I paced the 3:00 Goal Finish Team at the CIM. I paced Mike Morton to a Western States victory and course record and Troy Howard to a second place in his first hundred-miler at Angeles Crest.
Other hobbies: Lightweight backpacking and coaching track and cross country
Anything else you think your Pace Group would like to know about you: I love to backpack following a lightweight ethic which I find lets me travel faster, more comfortably and keeps me more in tune with my surroundings.
