Marathon finish of which you are most proud and why: CIM - 2002... because all the hard work paid off and I PR'ed by 13 minutes.

Ultra marathon awards: I met my wife Leslie (4:40 Group Pace Team leader) while training on the trails.
Ultra finish of which you are most proud and why: 2010 Tahoe Rim 100 Miler - PRed by 2 hours on a more difficult course.
How many Boston Marathons: Missed Men's Open qualifing time by less than 2 minutes so I will try again when I am older.
Coaching experience: I am the current Head Cross Country and Track and Field Coach at McClatchy High School in Sacramento. I have coached at McClatchy since 1999.
Other pacing experiences: I have paced runners in 6 Western States 100 milers and paced the CIM 3:45 Group since 2005.
Other hobbies: Leslie and I just completed building our new house located just 1 mile from the Western States Trail. We also enjoy being captains of the Greengate Aid Station (mile 80) for the Western States 100.
