Hotels

The CIM has set up special rates for CIM entrants at hotels in Sacramento, Folsom and Rancho Cordova. This list will be updated regularly. Bus service from the Sacramento and Rancho Cordova hotels is provided for a nominal $10 fee you will pay when you register. The bus service from the Folsom hotels is FREE.

When booking....

  • Be sure to ask for the California International Marathon rate to get the special room prices.
  • Be sure to ask about deposits and refund policies as they may vary from hotel to hotel.
  • Be aware that there is no bus service from the finish back to the hotels, unless otherwise specified by individual hotels.

SHERATON GRAND SACRAMENTO:

California International Marathon Host Hotel

  • The Sheraton Grand Sacramento requires a nonrefundable first night deposit
  • Buses will depart from the Sheraton Grand between 5 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. to take runners to the start. The fee for taking a bus to the start is $10 ($25 if purchased at the Expo), and there is a convenient payment option for this on the online entry. Once you arrive at the start area, you are allowed to stay on the bus until 15 minutes before the start.

Additional Sacramento Hotels

Buses will depart from the hotels listed below between 5:00 a.m. and 5:15 a.m to take runners to the start. The fee for taking a bus to the start is $10 ($25 if purchased at the Expo), and there is a convenient payment option for this on the online entry. Once you arrive at the start area, you are allowed to stay on the bus until 15 minutes before the start.

Please be aware that there is no bus service from the finish back to the hotels unless otherwise noted.

Folsom Hotels

Buses will depart from each hotel at 5:15 a.m. to take runners to the start.  Bus service from the Folsom hotels is FREE, thanks to Folsom Tourism. Once you arrive at the start area, you are allowed to stay on the bus until 15 minutes before the start.

Please be aware that there is no bus service from the finish back to the hotels.

Folsom hotels are located close to the start area. Staying at a Folsom hotel listed here will entitle you to:

  • Special low rates for CIM entrants.
  • FREE bus service to the start from each hotel.
  • Folsom hotel guests will have access to a VIP start area tent complete with heaters and port-a-potties.
