Registration Information

Ready to tackle the whole 26.2 miles?  Interested in taking on the challenge with a few friends in the marathon relay?  Want to compete as a high school team?  Or want to be a part of the 2.62 maraFUNrun and Fitness Walk on marathon day?  You came to the right place!  Register for the California International Marathon, the CIM relay, the CIM high school relay, or the maraFUNrun! 

Marathon

Marathon Registration Details

  • All entry fees include processing fees (no hidden costs!).
  • Marathon entry limit: 8,000 (no change from 2012).
  • CIM management is committed to quality over quantity!

Marathon Registration Fees

  • March 1 to March 15 at 11:59 p.m. PT: $85
  • March 16 to June 1 at 11:59 p.m. PT: $105
  • June 2 to September 30 at 11:59 p.m. PT OR until entry limit is achieved, whichever comes first: $130
  • Oct. 1 to Oct. 15 at 11:59 p.m. PT (only available to, and guaranteed for, registrants who achieve the CIM qualifying standard): $130; Learn more.

Marathon Divisions

  • Open (includes all age division categories)
  • Pushrim Wheelchair
  • Crankchair
  • Vision Impaired
  • Clydesdale/Athena - Please note that the Clydesdale (men 200 lbs. or heavier) and Athena (women 150 lbs. or heavier) divisions are not choices available on the online registration form. To be placed in either of these divisions you must weigh in and sign in at the Buffalo Chips Running Club's booth at the CIM Health and Fitness Expo. If your weight fits the criteria, you will then be placed in the Clydesdale or Athena division in the entry data.

Relay

Relay Registration Details

  • All entry fees include processing fees (no hidden costs!).
  • 4-Person Relay Team entry limit: 1,000 teams.

Relay Registration Fees

  • March 1 to August 1 at 11:59 p.m. PT: $120
  • August 2 to November 1 at 11:59 p.m. PT or until entry limit is achieved: $180
  • High School Team March 1 to November 1 at 11:59 p.m. PT: $50

2.62-Mile maraFUNrun Registration Fees

For kids 13 and under

  • Online registration by Nov. 15 at 11:59 p.m. PST: FREE
  • At the Health and Fitness Expo: $10
  • On Race Day: $15

For all others

  • Online registration by Nov. 15 at 11:59 p.m. PT: $15
  • At the Health and Fitness Expo: $20
  • On Race Day: $25
